I found this while looking for something else.  What else is new? 

 

Mostly last runs with a few first runs.  This is in response to the video in this post.

Most of them were last runs.

1:53 Sleeper train in Hokkaido "Marimo" was discontinued.

2:59 JR Shikoku's kiha 58 series were discontinued.

3:32 Keihan 1900 series were discontinued.

6:37 The last run of Shinkansen 0 series.

7:42 The last run of Izukyu 200 series.

8:45 The last run of Keihan 1900 series.

10:04 The last run of Meitetsu Panorama-car.

If we had that many last runs in Australia we'd have almost nothing left.

 

The moral to this is, while you're in Japan ride and/or photograph everything you can, it might not be there next time, especially the older stuff.
