katoftw Posted August 21, 2022 Share Posted August 21, 2022 They do this a lot. No where to spin engines around a Yokogawa. They the trains always have an engine at each end. DD51-842, DD51-895, EF65-536, C61-20 and a few others the used. Link to comment

Based on the Japanese Wikipedia page about the EF64 (source of chart below), JRF and JR East got all the 1000 subseries units. 2 Link to comment
