Looking for a general thread, here my question:

 

Las year I received a parcel from Amazon Japan with a pair of bookcases Train Set Case D from KATO.

 

My mistake: there is no foam inside so... I need a sheet of urethane well cutted to use the books.

 

Apparently, KATO do not sell urethane sheets separately.

 

What alternative solution can I adopt?

Casco or Popondetta urethane. The most versatiles are the Popondetta ones.

Thanks! I think Popondetta will fit well, also, there is available at Amazon Japan.

Sadly shipping is killer on the cases overseas. I use to pick them up on sales and they would sometimes cost more to ship than what I bought them for and that was SAL…

Do they? I never noticed them to be particularly expensive to ship. I usually ship them with a model.

They use to as I’d get them on sale for around 800-1000¥ and it could add 800+ onto the Sal shipping. But these days with higher EMS weight costs and larger items jacking up volume determined price on FedEx and DHL I fear quite a bit more to ship them these days. That being said I’ve not ordered one post covid shipping.
