KATO MANI 36

This month, KATO is rereleasing its MANI 36 (rebuilt from the SUHA32).

I haven’t been able to determine via conflicting translations of Japanese, whether these cars were used in Hokkaido. Does anyone know?

If you take the MANI36 as part of the NISEKO consist (which specifically calls out the MANI36 being a modified SUHA32), then yes, it was used in Hokkaido.

Otherwise, the individual car KATO 5079 seems to only list the Tokaido, Sanyo and Ou mainlines on its product page consist diagrams.  Given that the Ou mainline goes all the way to Aomori, I wouldn't be surprised if they were in Hokkaido anyway.
