emkay_777
Greetings All, Wondering if anyone can spare a couple of Kato Ø4.0 mm traction tires (Z01A4012). Be happy to pay for postage to Canada. Thanks, Evan Link to comment
Tuga
Try Love Train Hobbies, they carry different sizes traction tires. https://lovetrainhobbies.com/N-scale-traction-tires-locomotive-engine-replacements-steam-diesel-N-scale-traction-tires-lovetrain-hobbies-4mm-N.html 2 Link to comment

Tuga
Sorry to hear that. I didn't experience any problems with their service, but it was pre-covid. Try Ebay, expensive but available https://www.ebay.com/itm/265486920511?hash=item3dd040eb3f:g:vqAAAOSwUsFh1rJS or, from Pirata Models in Italy, https://www.piratamodels.it/it/kato-rhb-scala-n1150/8838-20-Anelli-d-aderenza-4-mm-x-ABe-8-12-Allegra-Nozomi-700-Z01A4012-4952844193225.html Good luck Edited January 16, 2022 by Tuga Link to comment
Welshbloke
I had considerable success using heat shrink sleeving to replace missing Kato traction tyres. You do have to cut it squarely at exactly the right width, but even without shrinking it gripped both wheel and rail well. The power car I fitted them to has been part of a twelve car 153 Series set on level track with no slipping, and handles as many coaches on their ramps as a factory fresh 165 Series. 1 Link to comment
