Rapido N scale GM New Look Bus

We don't get non-Japanese buses in N scale very often. Rapido Trains is releasing a new line of N scale GM New Look buses. They are in transit from the factory now and due to arrive later this winter.

Have a few Rapidos in HO.  Iconic replicas make worthy additions as well.  Also too had a sizeable Corgi O scale fleet.  Sold off most while retaining a few core favorites.

Not sure it's the same ... shot in 1976 in Buffalo by my father (traveling from France). I'm not sure I'm on the photo but I was with my parents. 11 years old ... what a fabulous travel.

Wonderful photo. This is basically the same. This is a GM New Look suburban (with all forward facing seats, luggage compartments under the floor) in intercity service rather than city service. Canada Coach Lines ran from Hamilton, Ontario to Buffalo.

I got a semi-pro slide scanner at home. It take something like 3 to 5 mn to scan 1 slide (depending on the chosen dpi) but it allows to deeply correct colors at scanning process. It's really time to do so as fine-grained emulsion on the slides are now very old despite it has been stored in good conditions.

1. A GM "Buffalo" mid to late 60s intercity coach on the US east coast.

2. AM General bus, maybe in Washington DC

3. Mexico. Mexico City or perhaps Tijuana

4. Another Gm Buffalo on the west coast.

5. GM New Look (Fishbowl) in New York City, maybe on 5th Avenue

6.Two Shore Line Buffalos in tour service

7. See #3.

8. West coast based American Pacific GM Buffalo

9. One door GM New Look Uncertain of the location.

10. A non-GM bus in Mexico modified to appear like a 1980s GM RTS bus

11. San Francisco area Eastshore Lines GM Buffalo

12. Franciscan GM Buffalo probably on a sightseeing tour

13. Trailways was a nation wide competitor to Greyhound. The bus is an Eagle, a design that originated in Belgium I believe.

Sorry, I didn't put the legend below my picture (I'm doing it right now).

Anyway, what an expert you're !

Meanwhile, as my father who was an amateur photographer, I'm also a photographer, really loving to shoot esp. what I'm fan of ... trains.

Going to the Seashore Trolley Museum in 2018, I also made some nice shots of old buses (as I'm not a specialist, I've no clue of what they are)

1/ This one seems really old

2/ Lane of buses of various ages

3/ Same lane from opposite side

4/ Lots of them are in poor condition

They really look abandoned, probably because there is not enough money to preserve them.

Thanks for complement.  I was a member of the Motor Bus Society for over 30 years, plus I have travelled to many of these places during the 70s, 80s and 90s. I'm sure these photos are important to you.

Love the photos - now I'm regretting selling my little Corgi Bus collection which had a couple of local lines in the Bay Area: Golden Gate Transit and AC Transit.  Came to the US in 1981 and Muni had the GM Newlook buses and always like their design.  I'm quite the bus fan and love riding them.

Hello Serotta1972,

These guys says hello.  Alas, both have been sold off.  Only wish corgi made a version of AC Transit in its debut viewliner (suburban models) AC Transit coach #100, etc.  Now that's a bus.

Wow that brings back childhood memories of the old AC transit busses. There was a depot for them near where we lived on the estuary and I use to ride my bike up and down the lines of busses.

Thanks for the pictures, those were them. As much as I liked them, I don’t really collect static models. The plan was to use them in an O scale layout.
