Kato 10-210 comes up as a train case.   https://www.katomodels.com/product/n/bookcase  But that doesn't define the cars. A quick look through HS doesn't turn up any comparable freight cars.  Perhaps a Kato box and Kawaii (now Popodetta) or Micro Ace cars?

Looks like a Popondetta  Waki 1000 Four-Window Express Train. The windows and numbers are similar.  Production started in 1949 according to HS.

thank you. a great help. the trader is selling off more old stock by Tomix which was manufactured pre 1990's looking at the packages.

I would say the same, Kawai with Kato knuckle couplers fitted.

 

That Kato case could use a new and more fitting insert.

Cars look like Kawai KP-126S set which was a Waki 1000 and Wamufu 100, 7 car set.
