bill937ca
The Rhodope line is a 760 mm (Bosnian) gauge line which runs between Septemvri and Dobrinishte and is still part of the Bulgarian National Railways (BDZ) system. The line is 125 km long and the journey takes hours to complete. Building of the line commenced in 1921. Aramovo station on the line is the highest station in the Balkan peninsular at 1267 meters. The locomotives are class 75 (built by Henschel) and class 77's (built in Romania). Video by Phil Thomas Trains Link to comment
