bill937ca
Good old West Japan Railway at it again. Docking an employee for a one minute delay. https://soranews24.com/2021/11/10/train-driver-sues-japan-rail-over-56-yen-for-a-one-minute-delay/ Of course it was West Japan Railway that punished crew for helping victims in the Amagasaki derailment. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amagasaki_derailment Link to comment
miyakoji
Too bad. I wonder how much time this has already taken up. At this point it's probably 20,000 yen in wages of other staff to dock him 85 yen, then refund him 42. It'll be interesting to see how it turns out. Although I realize now that there are very, very few fun or interesting jobs, when I was in Japan I always thought it would be cool to work for the railway. Until the Amagasaki crash, after which all kinds of stuff about their reeducation methods came to light. Since then I've just wanted to win the lottery 🙂 Link to comment
