Hi, 

 

Just to let you know, I'm using for a long time a small freeware to make my images ligther in any forum. 

 

You can dowload it from here https://www.bricelam.net/ImageResizer/

 

It gives a correct picture, lowering it to a reasoneable weight. Once installed, just right click on the picture and chose 'Resize picture'.

Although the forum does do some image processing / resizing / optimisations as well, it's definitely a good tip.

As a Windows user I still use the old paint tool to resize the  pictures
