shiniji
Hello Guys,  a few months ago I ordered the kits for the YO201 and YO101 from Pairhandy to match the Tomix Set 97922. A few weeks later the time had come: I built my first brass kit. 😱  what was important in the beginning was that I had the right tools for it. I bought extra soldering paste, a new soldering station, a new set of pliers and an aluminum bracket (for precise bending of the edges). At the beginning there was also the question of whether I should glue or solder the kit. Soldering is really the better solution here because otherwise it will not have any stability.  here are the first steps. As you can see, there are extremely thin and fine parts on the kit which were really difficult to solder:  the housing is ready for sanding and priming:   öäööljOn the last picture you can see the instructions consisting of 2 pictures and a drawing. now it was painted:     The chassis was created from a Tomytec freight car     And now the finished model. The decals were unfortunately really not great (some of them didn't last and dissolved. Here I had to use Decal-fix).    It was a lot of work at the beginning, but the result was worth it 😄  Kind regards Patrick Edited August 7, 2021 by shiniji 9 Link to comment
cteno4
Patrick, excellent work, sweet little project. I love folding brass kits, something very zen about them. Â jeff 1 Link to comment
