Yavianice Posted July 20, 2021 Share Posted July 20, 2021 (edited) After the recent catastrophic floods in Germany, 600 km of railway track and 80 stations have been damaged, 24 km of track and 7 bridges are completely destroyed, 7 trains drowned and have to be scrapped. Repairs will take months. 121 people were killed in the floods and mudslides, after a record amount of rain fell in Northrhine Westphalia/Rheinland Pfalz region. The flooding also hit Belgium, The Netherlands, and (a few days later) Upper Bavaria and Austria.
