Szdfan
So not exactly a Japanese prototype, but it’s sorta, kinda close. Hornby is releasing a 1:76 scale Sentinel switcher in the paint scheme for Hitachi’s Ashford, UK factory. The diesel is named after Hitachi’s president for European operations. https://us.hornby.com/products/hitachi-sentinel-0-4-0-r30010 1 Link to comment
Welshbloke
One thing to be aware of, these have a very short wheelbase. I have one in a different livery which stalls on the long Unitrak points, as the plastic point frog is longer than the wheelbase... It's an excellent runner otherwise but obviously vulnerable to uneven or dirty track, as well as pointwork. Link to comment
Rod.H
There's something about that link that the Hornby website hated, this works https://uk.hornby.com/products/hitachi-sentinel-0-4-0-chiaki-ueda-era-11-r30010 or enter r30010 in the search box Link to comment
