mags_minibuilds
Does anyone have any sort of experience with these power units? I’m curious about its performance and see if anyone has scratch-built shells for them. Looks super fun to make a tram/trolley or do some B-Train Shorty kit-bashing. https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/m/search?typ1_c=101&cat=&state=&sold=0&sortid=0&searchkey=Tsugawa+power+unit I happened to have found this guy's blog and YT channel: https://ameblo.jp/creorippa900/entry-12673802641.html?frm=theme https://www.youtube.com/user/creorippa/videos Edited June 8, 2021 by ZandT Link to comment
VJM
I bought one of these power units with the intention of motorising a Thomas Mini, but never got around to completing it. The power unit is effectively the same as what you would find in a regular Tsugawa locomotive, like the DEKI3 or Arida Koppel locos. They are fairly sensitive, very responsive and only need low power from the DC controller. The short wheelbase means that any poor or dirty trackwork can stop the unit. 1 Link to comment
