Joban Line to begin ATO operation on March 13

Operation will commence on the Joban Line local service tracks between Toride-Ayase this Saturday, March 13.  Trains will still have a driver and conductor, only the throttle manipulation will be computer controlled.

 

Demo run on the 8th between Matsudo and Abiko:

Makes sense considering the Chiyoda line already uses it and most of the local trains are thru trains.
