westfalen
Nice train. 100's on the Hikari overtaking the 0's, very nice. When I first visited Japan in 1991 the Grand Hikari trains had a full service dining car on the upper level of one of the double deck cars. Sadly you can no longer enjoy a real meal at a real table as you flash through the countryside. Link to comment
ChrisV
Arrggghh!! I hate watching these video's as they look so damn awesome. That layout is just amazing with those curves and full length trains. Thanks for sharing - very inspirational. Link to comment

KenS
Those sweeping curves are just beautiful, and with the long train give a real feeling of speed. My Kato superelevated viaduct suddenly seems so inadequate. But what is that track? I didn't think Tomix made curves that broad, and the viaduct doesn't look like it would be flex track. Does anyone know? Link to comment
bill937ca
I don't know which track was used, but those are scenes from two Models Imon layouts. The layout with scenery is at the Oimachi branch and the one with the plain baseboard is the Yokohama branch. http://www.imon.co.jp/ This is the newest Models Imon rental layout at Ikebukuro. I suspect this layout like many train store and cafe layouts was custom built by DDF. There are sweeping curves here too. It looks like Tomix track judging by the feeder slots I can see. I love the gently curving five track elevated Shinkansen station http://rail.hobidas.com/blog/rmm/RIMG0511.jpg http://rail.hobidas.com/blog/rmm/RIMG0492.jpg http://rail.hobidas.com/blog/rmm/archives/2008/11/modelsimon.html Link to comment
EWS60008
Thats an impressive layout there! I have the Tomix model of that but its a shortened 4-car set though. I think its a Sanyo/Tokaido set to be honest. Link to comment
