EWS60008
That is one nice looking unit. I have recently bought the Kato model of this unit, so I am looking forward to receiving it . I wish we could have the diesel variant of the Series 787 in the UK (possibly could be known as the Class 250!) only car 1 would be a power car with an EMD 710 power unit and a luggage compartment (not a passenger carrying unit), while the other trailer cars would be the same as the 787 including the rear driving trailer which would remotely control the power car from the other end but without pantographs . Likewise with my concept aside, the Series 787 is one of Kato's finest looking non-Shinkansen model released so far. Link to comment
David
My 787 has by some stroke of luck or hardship managed to stay in it's case for most of 2 months while I setup other trains. I really should get it out as it's the last commuter train I have with no interior lights installed. Link to comment
EWS60008
I am planning to retrofit interior lighting into my Series 787 when time and funds permit, but for now I am mostly focusing on building up my Japanese train fleet for the time being as well as working on my layout . Link to comment
disturbman
By the way, this is no commuter train. The Series 787 is a limited express. Link to comment
EWS60008
It is indeed . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wND1LiydS0o Shame this video won't play on the thread but if you click the link, you will see how smart this unit is inside! Alternatively I have found these additional videos too (There is two 787's that "Double-Head" in that clip) Enjoy! Link to comment
