Kanpai Keith
I’m looking to pick up an ED62 for my “little” layout. I see the Tomix model will handle c140 curves, can anyone comment on what radius curves the Kato model will handle. I’m also interested to know which is the better model in terms of accuracy/details and running. Many thanks Keith Link to comment
disturbman
Seeing how both released their model in 2017, it’s really a question of small preferences. They are barely any differences in quality between the products of the four major producers. Kato has the advantage of having all wheels black. Personally, I find that Tomix detailing parts are easier to install and hold better in the long run. Edited February 2, 2021 by disturbman 1 Link to comment
Kanpai Keith
Thank you @disturbman After some searching it appears the Kato recommends minimum of r249 curves. Tomix it is, bring on them ridiculously tight curves 🤣 Edited February 2, 2021 by Kanpai Keith Link to comment
