I don't know if this has been posted before, but this website has some very evocative B&W photos of JNR trains, mostly steam hauled, from the late 1960s onwards.

And even better, there's some video of trains at Nunohara on the Hakubi Line. The freight with the D51 bank engine running tender first is a great find - there's even a few Koki's with containers in the consist! 😍
