快速リゾートいっぺき
When transfering from Shinkansen to Limited Express, the limited express fare is cut by half. Is it possible to buy the Limited express tickets separate from the basic fare (Joushaken) while noritsugiwarihiki still applies? Link to comment
katoftw
I dont know what noritsugiwarihiki is. But yes you can buy separate tickets for base fare and limited express surcharge. Many do this to save money as the base fare depending on length can last multiple days. Link to comment
bikkuri bahn
According to the JR East website, for the discount to apply, you must buy a base fare ticket along with the ltd express ticket to get the discount. However, if you already have a base fare ticket in hand with validity on the travel date, it seems you can apply it. Best to ask the staff at the midori no madoguchi ticket office. https://www.jreast.co.jp/kippu/1401.html Quote 出発前に乗車券及び乗り継ぐ列車双方の特急券などを同時にお求めの場合に限り割引になります(乗車券をすでにお持ちの場合はご呈示ください)。 Edited September 16, 2020 by bikkuri bahn Link to comment
