1/32 Scale Blue Train Model

Thought I’d post if anyone was interested in large scale static models. 
 

Hachette Collections are running a publication building an EF66, Ohanefu 25 and Oshi 24 dining car in 1:32 scale.

Yes, looks like the first part is the usual introductory, low price to get people interested. Other issues range from ¥2000-¥4500. The higher price being the months you get the body shells for each model. Couldn’t see how many issues but I’m sure it’s a sizeable investment.

What an nice model!  Wish I didn't have to pay international shipping, that'd make an impressive display!  How hard are they to put together?

Yeah certainly impressive... though it would be quite expensive getting through all the subscriptions till the end model... and having all the lights in! Is there anyway we can get this outside Japan?

I doubt it. They’re also running a delivery vehicle series. If they were HO I’d probably be interested but they’re the typical 1:43 scale.

Maybe. Check if there is a Hachettes Collection in your country and speak to their customer service. This is a branch of a French publishing company with a presence in 30 countries. All models are probably produced in a few locations and maybe it might be possible to make a special subscription order without having to important from Japan. Possibly, depends on how the companies are set up and how imaginative and friendly people are willing to be.
