Tonight's project, an Austin-Putilov armoured car. The chassis and hull are assembled, at the moment the turrets are clipped together to test how well they fit.

Weren't tires like that solid back then?  Wheels themselves are vulnerable but I wonder how much damage they can take for pm small arms fire before they don't work any more.

The Austins had pneumatic tyres for road use, but could also be fitted with solid rubber tyres for off-road use.
