ToniBabelony
Hello all, I stumbled upon some older JNR videos from the 思い出の国鉄 (Omoide no Kokutetsu; Memories of JNR) series: http://www.youtube.com/user/dtmagicttr As I thought some would probably be interested in some old-skool action (like me), these videos are very informative and entertaining. Cheers! - Toni Link to comment
bikkuri bahn
Yes, there are some real gems there. Especially like the ones of secondary lines where hand-me-down emus from the early JNR years ("kyugata kokuden") were serving out their final days: Oito Line in Nagano (great traction motor sound!): Kabe Line in Hiroshima Prefecture: And the famous Iida Line (Shizuoka and southern Nagano pref.), with its "suka iro" (ivory and blue) rolling stock, including combination express package/passenger type EMUs: Last, and more in my backyard, the Nemuro Main Line, nice kiha 56 express DMU stock(in multiple formation even!), as well as the awesome kiha 82 ltd express ("Ozora"). Bettoga Station featured near the end is now an unstaffed halt- in the video it was a proper manned station, with a loop controlled by semaphore signals as well as what appears to be dairy traffic: Link to comment
scott
This makes me hope the slightly-less-obsolete computer I have coming will run Youtube videos.... Link to comment
