arcadeperfect
Or at least it will be. Maybe. If I finish it. Here's the blog: https://hackaday.io/project/173487-urban-sci-fi-trainset Hope I posted in the right place... apologies if not! Link to comment
Cat
Thanks for posting this! Once we start gathering the electronics for our Shorty layout, we'll be chipping all the motors and having your work for reference will help a lot. Fortunately, we do have a friend is a professional solderer with a long career supervising an electronics shop who we hope to bribe with Scotch eggs and whisky to help. (Oh, and that's no ordinary bear, that's Kumamon, the powerhouse mascot of Kumamoto Prefecture.) Edited July 8, 2020 by Cat Link to comment
arcadeperfect
Haha thanks for the info on Kumamon! That's my favorite car for sure. New update coming soon... Link to comment
Cat
I have a friend who lived for a few years in Kumamoto Prefecture, and they feel haunted by the inescapable presence of Kumamon! There's even a YouTube channel:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCuh03vril77Dqbw4bdqUd_w Now that you've chipped the Shorties, do you think it's safe to swap chipped motors out between different cars? We have a moderately large fleet, and have been thinking we could save on some number of power units by swapping as needed between some trains that wouldn't be operated at the same time.
