Heck, I liked the article on the railbus that converts in 10-15 seconds, and what a beautiful museum they have in Japan, very futuristic looking. You think the BR is not up to par, I take the Long Island RR every weekday into NYC and at the station I depart from, when they designed the new trains, they were so concerned about safety issues, that they made the walls of the cars wider but narrower at the bottom of the train. As a result, the designers created a 14" gap between the platform and the train. There have been at least 3 death and countless number of injuries with people falling into the gap. The irony is, that since OSHA (safety org in USA) took over, there has been an increase in the amount of injures for riders. Link to comment
