marknewton
I see that there was a derailment on the Keisei Main Line at Aoto station. From the photos and video it looked fairly minor, but some photos showed a damaged pantograph hanging from the overhead. Does anyone know what happened? Cheers, Mark. 1 Link to comment
miyakoji
The Japanese articles I've found are about 24 hours old at this point. They just say that the second car from the end derailed and the company is looking into the reason. There were no injuries. Japanese Wikipedia already says it was Hokuso 7300 series formation 7818. Keisei has a pdf available in their site's news section, it says it happened around 10:15 AM on the 12th, and the line reopened at 7:35. I usually see times in Japan expressed in 24-hour format, so I think this means AM of the 13th, which is also the time on the pdf. It doesn't include any details or information about the cause. https://www3.nhk.or.jp/news/html/20200612/k10012467831000.html 1 1 Link to comment

miyakoji
I'm surprised this was not caught during inspections. Didn't this happen on the shinkansen last year? Link to comment
