Kiran
I have a Kato platform DX with lights (23-000). I have been using them by connecting through the accessory switch hooked up to a Kato power pack. But now that I have all my turnouts on NCE Switch-Kat decoders, I really no longer have any reason to use the Kato power pack. Is it OK to connect the platform DX with lights to DCC power directly? I am thinking that the AC current put out by DCC booster is too much for the lights. Could I use a resister? 1 Link to comment

EdF
I have only ever used them on the DCC and they have been fine for well over 50 hours so far. They have rectifiers like the car lights. Link to comment
Lina_Blue
Just continue to use the power pack to power the lights trough the track out. This way you can regulate the brightness quite easy. Link to comment
