Lawrence
I have had a browse on the HS site recently looking for a DMU set, can any body tell me how you tell if a set is motorised or a dummy? Thanks Link to comment
CaptOblivious
Usually, or at least often, the set will be described with an (M) to indicate motorized and (T) (for trailer) to indicate non-motorized. You can look at the prices too. Do you have any items in particular you were curious about? Examples: motorized KIHA35: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10096078 trailer KIHA35: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10096079 Link to comment
disturbman
Then you can also look at the picture called "more about item", it shows where the motor is (the M on the picture). exemple: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10073205k/50/1 In this one there is two motors. Link to comment
Lawrence
Thanks guys, I thought the (M) might be a clue but wasn't 100% I think you should have a newbie section to the forum where gonks like me can lurk and ask such daft questions :icon_thumright: Link to comment
disturbman
The ensuing conversation about a newbie section has been moved here. Link to comment
