Tony Galiani
Ballast can be a bit of a struggle but I tried something new on my layout today and am pleased with the relative ease of it. I had seen mention of using a seed sower to spread the ballast in an issue of Model Railroader. I picked up one to try out at about US$2.00, it seemed like a potentially inexpensive solution to getting ballast onto the tracks in an neat and easy way. It turned out to be quick and easy to control the output as well. Here are a picture of the seed spreader and of the first section of ballasted track. Tony Galiani 2 Link to comment
cteno4
Very cool to see! I had picked one of these up on ebay for like 20 cents a few years back thinking it might work for ballast or scenery material but I’ve never gotten to playing with it! thanks! jeff Link to comment
