Hokuetsu Express "Hakutaka," Kanazawa to Echigo-Yuzawa

A YouTube member posted this zenmen tenbou video of the trip on now-discontinued Hokuetsu Express Hakutaka train from Kanazawa to Echigo-Yuzawa. Note at the time this video was made, most of the infrastructure of the Hokuriku Shinkansen had not yet been built, so you notice the old station layouts at Takaoka, Toyama and Itoigawa Stations.

Sacto, it looks like this got zapped.  Too bad.  The Sea of Japan side lines, particularly express services on them, are major tetsudo goals of mine 🙂
