Long-time modeller and new to Japanese image model railroading.

I've been gradually collecting B-Train Shorties over the years with an eye towards building some T-Trak modules.  Current plan is to start building later this year, doing an N scale urban layout that can also do double duty as a terrain board for playing tabletop miniatures games (Kaiju, BattleTech stompy robots, Girls und Panzer tank battles, etc.)

Welcome Cat,

glad you found us. Btrain shorties are a good one to suck you in. Very fun and easy to play with in limited space. Ttrak is fun as well to not have to dive into a larger layout project and to play with others some easily.

looking forward to what you come up with!

have you seen Nick Yees little Btrain layout? Quite fun.

Thanks Jeff,

Yes, I have seen that; it's lovely work!  We're currently sketching out ideas for a 6'x4'3" layout (2x3 17"-deep modules) which would be a good size for tabletop gaming with standard T-Trak mainline running along one edge and can also connect a 7th 17" module to the mainline with a small fiddle yard and a transfer  table for when we're just playing trains.  Hope is that we can bring this to both gaming conventions and model railroad conventions.

Welcome Kat!

BShorties are really cute, and because of their smaller size, it is possible to have a 16car shinkansen in a limited space!

Glad you found us! Enjoy yourself here!

Our big train will be the super cute 9 unit Cassiopeia.  Recently purchased sets A, B, and C from Rakuten Global Market; just got the shipping notice yesterday.
