Claude_Dreyfus
I'm thinking in investing in the Kato level crossing, however it is a little pricey; my local shop has one for £175.00! I'm sure I can get it cheaper, but it will still be well in excess of £100.00. My question here is very simple...is it worth it? Really this is aimed at those who already have one of these (although anyone can chime in), but are they any good? What are the features that make this crossing worth spending a large amount of my hard-earned on? What I do believe it can offer is the following: Sound Working lights Sensors which detect an approaching train Anything else? Link to comment
to2leo
The level crossing only include one track. If you want to incorporate it into a two or more track mainlines, you need to get an expansion track set. They crossing is fine and reliable but not DCC friendly. You also need to add a power supply track in between the two sensors per line. Link to comment
westfalen
I notice its absent from Kato's 2009 catalog, so it may be wise to grab one if you want one. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they are re-engineering it to be more DCC friendly. Link to comment
Guest ___
I'd buy one, but have no place to use it. Link to comment
