EdF
I've recently received 3 new Kato sets and 2 of them have issues getting anout contact between the EM13 chip and the motor tabs. On the E233 Chuo 130th, they looked like they just didnt bend back far enough to reach the contacts on the chip, i curled them more and it worked. Just put the chip in my TEM and seems to have the same issue. My E655 was fine though. Anyone else seen issues? Link to comment
Kiha66
Do you have a photo of the issue? Its a little hard for me to figure out the problem from a description. The only train I've had issues with an EM13 is with the early kato GS4. Link to comment
jozasa
Yes, every now and then I get issues with the Kato EM13 not making good contact with the copper strips. Also with their function decoders FL12. Usually fixed by a little shimming or in some cases adding a litlle solder Let me say that ZIMO is now making an alternative to the KATO originals, they work better I'd say.... Link to comment
