cteno4
So I got one of the DFPlayer mini cards a few months back and have been playing with it for a while now and installing one in a 30” stuffed humpback whale my wife knit for our grand nephew to play social, feeding and song sounds. the DFPlayer is a little Ardunio board that decides mp3 files and plays them, it takes some simple momentary inputs to pay files directly w.o any other arduino controllers (although you can easily control these from an arduino processor). fun to have a simple push button player for station or other environmental sounds. Simple track switch can start a file playing as well. 3.3-5.5v to power and micro sd card for file storage are required. Slap a small 2w 8ohm speaker on it. $1.28 on ebay and $1.50 on amazon, so very inexpensive and fun! basics on the board here https://wiki.dfrobot.com/DFPlayer_Mini_SKU_DFR0299 cheers jeff 3 Link to comment
yaasan
Hello, Nagoden's MP3 DCC Sound Decoder is similar with DF Player mini because same MP3 chip used. This decoder is based on Arduino UNO. Very similar with your solution. Nagoden's MP3 Decoder V5 http://nagoden.la.coocan.jp/dcc/dcc46/dcc_46.htm Currently Nagoden is developing V6 which supports Next18 connector. https://nagoden-diary.blog.ss-blog.jp/2019-11-10 These decoder can program with Arduino ISP based writer hardware. 1 Link to comment
