ben_issacs
Folks, News just in , 9 p.m.Melb. time) of a dreadful fire on a passenger train in Pakistan, 71 dead, 41 injured. he train was travelling to a place called Tezgam, which must be somewhere near Rawalpindi. Four cars completely gutted, most people died or were injured by jumping from the train whilst it was moving, it took about 20 minutes for the train to be stopped. Cause, apparently passengers cooking breakfast on oil stoves, one of which probably tipped over, this is a common but illegal practice on long distance trains in India, Pakistan and other Asian countries.
