bikkuri bahn
Looks like Kawasaki Heavy Industries will benefit (again) from the ongoing Chinese HSR gravy train (Bombardier was lucky earlier selling their Zefiro): http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601101&sid=aH9PGNKjGM7g Albeit it is for licensing fees, but even a percentage of 6.5 billion is a tidy sum. Not mentioned in the article is that the order is for 140 railcar sets , presumably based on the E2 design (CRH2). The trainsets will be used on the Beijing-Shanghai route currently under construction. Xinhua or some other Chinese news outlet will probably report on this development, but likely not mention the Japanese connection, as they are loathe to do. Link to comment
