Advice? Any *must have* books for trainspotting

Couldn't find mention in forum. Are there any amazing books that show lots of photos of prototype J-trains which could be used to identify?

Not a lot of books in English. We have a thread here on the ones that are in English along with some websites

 

 

if you run across more please post them and I’ll add to the list. Also yell if you find any dead links in the list.

there are scads of railfan books in japanese. Amazon.co.jp has a lot, but shipping can add up fast on them.
