Nick_Burman
Hello, Could anyone help me locate the builder's number for Mie Kotsu DeKi51? This was a 762mm gauge GE boxcab built for the electrification of the Utsube and Hachioji lines in the early 1920's. A search on Japanese sites has so far been a failure... miyakoji
Wow Nick this is some rare stuff. The best (only!) info I could really find is this http://11.pro.tok2.com/~mu3rail/link243.html which I bet you've already seen. Not that it makes much difference but I'm seeing this designated not as a DeKi but as simply De. Is the builder number just the GE serial number? Link to comment

marknewton
Nick, you might not be able to find it. According to the text of Strapac’s book on GE interurban electric locos, surviving company records don’t include most export locos. I’ve had a look through all,of my Japanese language publications that feature the Mie Kotsu and its stock, they also don’t mention the builder’s number. Sorry I can’t help you on this one. All the best, Mark. 1 Link to comment
