JR West Japan to launch new model 271 series for Kansai International Express "Haruka"

JR West Japan has recently announced that it will introduce new vehicles to the limited express "Haruka".

 
The limited express "Haruka" has access to Kansai International Airport, and with the recent increase in the number of foreign visitors to Japan, it will introduce an additional 18 new vehicles (3 x 6) for additional construction.

 
The start of business is scheduled for the spring of 2020.

Yes bit of a missed opportunity to modernise the overall design of the stock, inside and out! I travelled on Haruka recently - it felt tired, and the light brown interior isn't particularly pleasing to the eye...
