Joetsu and Tohoku shinkansens suspended, advisory of a tsunami of 1 meter high.

 

Smaller tsunami's already hit by time of this writing (10 cm at Niigata)

 

Hardest hit seems Niigata with a scale of 6+ on the japanese scale.
