bc6
Im thinking about getting aTomix storage case for my Dr. Yellow 3 car set and Im curious which one I should get. I have a goal of someday owning the 7 car complete set. Tomix offers several different cases that look the same to me lol. Link to comment
Krackel Hopper
If you plan on acquiring the 4 car add-on, you'll have your case for all 7 right there. The 4 car add-on comes in a case that is designed to hold all 7 cars. I know it's a little difficult to track down the additional 4 cars, but if you plan/hope to do that anytime soon, it may be a little redundant to order a case for the 3 car set. If you're set on getting a case, I wish I could help, but I'm with you.. all the cases sorta look the same, and I don't know how Tomix classifies them.. Jon Link to comment

Jon Interesting, they're several full sets on Yahoo Japan but at the moment $200 + is out of reach. I d like to store the 3 car set in something so they dont get damaged thats why Im looking for a case that will hold all 7 cars. I didnt know the add on set case held all 7 cars, thanks for that information. Update - It looks like Tomix sells cases in 6,7,8 car configurations thats the only difference I see between them. That is in fact the only difference! in addiction, you can use it only for 20mt cars, not for 25mt Shinkansen cars (or you manually cut the foam inside....), sometime you can find on Yahoo a pre-cut foam from WIN or other companies to put in a box Shinkansen cars but are not so good... (for Microace and Kato is the same) ciao Massimo Link to comment
disturbman
I don't know if you can put a shinkansen inside but you also have the possibility to buy casco products. http://www.1999.co.jp/search_e.asp?Typ1_c=104&andor=0&scope=0&scope2=0&sortID=0&urikire=1&ItKey=Casco Link to comment

CaptOblivious
1. My Tomix case had cutouts way oversized for 20m cars. I bet a shinkansen would fit. 2. The Casco inserts are sized to fit the larger Kato cases. Link to comment
