I was in Japan recently for too short of a time but I did manage to snap these quick shots of various limited express EMUs around Tokyo...

 

Joban Line E657 'Hitachi'

My two favorites, the Hitachi and Super Azusa!

I admit I got quite blase about the Hitachi expresses. I lived near Tsuchiura in Ibaraki and after they took over from the colourful E653s on the Joban line they seemed omnipresent. Got a little boring. Having been away from Japan for a couple of years I can appreciate them a little better again now.

 

Anyway, here are some more. The weather was not kind to me on my trip, but I did max out on NEX E259s while my wife shopped with a friend at Harajuku!
