5.7 earthquake strikes south Hokkaido (February 2019)

Seems the epicenter is in the same region of last years earthquake.

As of 10pm, all subway lines in Sapporo are stopped for safety checks.  JR Hokkaido lines south of Kita Hiroshima have currently suspended operations.  The Hokkaido Shinkansen has resumed operations as of 9:38pm. Thankfully power outages have been minimal, unlike the bigger earthquake on Sept. 6 last year.

More relevant than the magnitude is the maximum shindo (maximum intensity), which was 6-, which is not fun.
