Film depicting the dawn of german high-speed rail network, highlighting the difficulties when dealing with the local authorities and the lateness of the project compared to the other two projects nearing completion in europe at the time: France's TGV (europe's first dedicated high-speed trainset, designed in 1978) and Italy's Direttissima (europe's first high-speeds capable line, opened in 1977).
