maihama eki
Something I have been pondering having just received a (mostly) very nice set of 8 Kato Takis - this one: https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10536279 Why do manufacturers continue to almost exclusively build freight cars with truck mounted couplers? These same companies make very nice looking local, express, super express ... passenger trains with prototypical looking chassis mounted couplers. Even many or most of the freight locomotives have chassis mounted couplers. I know I can replace the Rapido style couplers with something that looks better, but I am still left with them being truck mounted which looks ... wrong. I wish one of the manufacturers would break from the crowd on this and start building freight cars with chassis mounted couplers. Link to comment
