nah00
On our club layout we made module with the Kato turntable on it over the summer. Worked fine for the past three shows until this weekend when it stopped turning. It seems like the two plastic pieces under the track on the bridge that slot into the tabs around the base won't retract. I took the bridge off to see if they were jammed or something got stuck but found nothing. I didn't want to take apart the motor in the bridge there since I didn't have a diagram. The motor in the operator's booth is still working but with those pins frozen in place it can't move. Any ideas? Link to comment
TRod
If it moves and it's not supposed to, duct tape. If it doesn't move, and it supposed to, WD40. Otherwise, l got nothing. Link to comment
deepeekomal
The retraction of the pins is a separate motor and it has probably gone bad. I have built my own controller for the turntable and you can drive the motor w a H bridge driver. see my post at http://www.ntrains.org/indexing-the-kato-n-scale-turntable-20-283/ Link to comment
