Making Roads

I was asking Cody a question about how he made his roads. I've been experimenting with different ways of doing this. Here is a step by step link by Dan Crowley makes his roads using Flex foam.

Ive seen this technique done several times and its really cool. thought of using it, but im really liking the printed out streets. you can make any markings you want easily! you can also come back and put cracks in the image as well as at scale you would never really see any dimension to cracks in n scale.

 

i think the funfoam/plaster really works well at ho and larger where you could really start seeing the detail at scale. you can get some really cool details easily!
