Looking to kit-bash, any ideas?

So I have a chlorine us tank car, what Japanese tank car would I be able to transform in to?

I would prefer it if it would be something from the late 60's, in Hokkaido

to be honest, that pic is why I wanted to. Any clue where I could find decals to do that?

HobbySearch had a few sets for H0 TaKis, including one for the TaKi 3000 by Tomix - unfortunately all sold out.

But maybe those can provide you with useful search terms...

Something else you need is to ditch the spring-loaded trucks for Japanese leaf-spring trucks. I believe both Kato and Tomix have said parts available, although I don't have a link readily handy.

Ok, I'll look those up as well.

The hardest part will be reshaping the top

Also, I know some us models have leaf spring that are similar. Might have to dig around the grab bags and discount models at the local hobby shop (which is conveniently in the club I'm a member at)

You may also want a larger, rounder dome as the Taki's is bigger and doesn't have the harse, square lip like on the US model. Should be able to get a just a dome in a parts bin at a show or you could cut one off of an older tank car like the crappy old Model Power tankers.

Put a larger dome on it and it would also be a good stand-in for a Taki3500:
