Sylpheed - a motorized DE10?

I recently got my hands on a beautiful second hand Sylpheed set by Microace (A3950) at a very affordable price, and I was wondering if someone else had the set and could perhaps clarify something?

The set came with a motorized DE10 when I thought the loc in the set was supposed to be an unpowered, dummy. Did I misread the infos available on this set or is this just an auction surprises? I am also asking as no wheels on the DE10 came with a traction tire and no wheels seem to have a groove where it could have rest.

Many n scale locos dont have traction tires, so I'd just assume this one was designed to not have them.  Only pulling three cars it really doesn't need them anyway.

Even the HS link has the motor in the Moro car, not the DE10.

I believe this is a auction surprise. The original set is just a dummy loco, with the motor chassis in car 3 of the carpet train... It's a nice surprise though, and I wonder how the seller got the DE10 to be motorised! Probably remove the shell from some other DE10s and replaced it with this one...
