Not really sure how you can participate in it, but it says something about filling in a questionnaire. The announcements Tomytec just put up include a couple of new cars and scenery items, but also a couple of really nice model train releases. katoftw
I pre ordered the kyushu 4 bus set. Has a bus i wanted from the popendetta die cast over price version that has long been out of stock.. Plus another that will replace a popendetta version. I prefer the Tomix versions of the popendetta version. And if i wanna motorize at a later date. Tomytec is better. Edited October 11, 2018 by katoftw Link to comment

I'm tempted to pre-order both of these now. But I'd prefer to buy the whole collection. Do they still set the complete sets? All I see for pre-order are the basic sets. 6 hours ago, JR 500系 said: https://www.tomytec.co.jp/diocolle/lineup/trailer/trailer_set09.html Cosmo tanker truck 2-truck set These are very nice. I have the Tomix Cosmo gas station and have wanted these to go with it for a long time. I have the Shell tankers but don't like that they don't match. But the detail on the Tomix gas station is bad, and the stickers on mine have faded from being exposed to sunlight in a previous location. I currently have it disassembled and plan on redoing it completely with airbrush and maybe custom decals. I've been planning on turning it into a Shell station to match my tankers. I'll now have to consider keeping it as a Cosmo station, buying these tankers, and selling off my shell tankers. Edited October 11, 2018 by gavino200 Link to comment

I don't think Tomytec would do the car collection series (those 12 in a box thingy) again, since it would be so much more profitable for them to do it in a 4-car kind of sets and sell them... That said, it is good to see now that Tomytec has 4 of the new moulds and same era vehicles in a set, rather than the former 2 Showa and 2 modern type, which brings down the interest to buy the 4-car set even more... At the direction Tomytec is going, I doubt they will ever do the car collection series again... 😞 So I went on straight ahead and pre-ordered the O1 and O2 sets two each.. they are just to nice to miss! Some companies tend to reuse numbers after the previous series are long gone. One example is the new Tokyo Metro 1000 series, which shares its series number and paint with the old 1000 series used between 1927 and 1968. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tokyo_Metro_Ginza_Line The usual way to tell them apart is to say 1st or 2nd or even 3rd generation after the series number. 1 Link to comment
